Apartment market trends: Fall 2012

Published October 1, 2012

This 9 minute video is a condensed version of our 30 minute presentation at the Washington Multi-Family Housing Association's annual Washington Apartment Outlook conference on September 28th, titled "How a Conspiracy Theory Created the iHome "Justin" Time to Capitalize on the Geezer Effect." We don't tell that story here, but we do highlight some important trends.

Apartment market trends for the Puget Sound region from Dupre + Scott Apartment Advisors on Vimeo.

We hope you found this overview useful. Remember, our presentation last week had a lot more information, so be sure to attend next year. But if you need more information now, the October issue of our Apartment Advisor will build on all of these trends and compare submarket performance. It will also dig into all of our new development data to see just how many new units we should really expect from developers over the next few years and where to expect them. The Advisor will wrap up with an updated five-year forecast of rents, vacancies, concessions, net operating income, and price trends.

John Peranzi: All those board memberships Patty and mike have are great to see, but more important is the fact the they are also apartment owners and not academics with no real world experience."
